Talks from LOCO24 are now available online / Apr 2025
The sister conference to PROPL was held late last year in Scotland with a bumper attendance from Cambridge. All of the talks from it are now available online at YouTube, or on our ad-free EEG video site. The keynote from Anne Currie was fantastic and wide-ranging (she is the author of the eerily predictive Panopticon series):
I was also involved with four fun talks up there given by collaborators:
More broadly, I'm quite pleased with the selfhosting of videos. I'm now operating three sites (with Mark Elvers and Ryan Gibb):
- The EEG video site with a 100+ videos of EEG talks and workshops like PROPL and LOCO (above).
- The Watch OCaml site with almost 200 videos across 20 years of talks related to the OCaml programming language.
- My personal Recoil video mirror with ~65 videos of my own stuff.
Many of the talks in the instances above have been sunset from their respective video hosting sites, so there's a strong element of robustness over time to hosting things ourselves. Each of the instances above also follow each other to provide p2p redundancy if a video hits the socials and goes viral.
